We are sponsoring Mark Vikram Purushotham (Known as "Vik" to many in the Belmont Watertown UMC community) is a Somerville based film maker and media producer. For the last 8 years, he has been developing and producing a documentary on a United Methodist Church in the twin cities of Minnesota that is made up entirely of people in recovery. The project up to now has been largely self funded.

With most of the filming completed, he is now trying to sort through the raw footage, captured over 5 years, and create an 8 minute preview to present to two major Christian organizations that support recovery ministries. The purpose is to solicit from them, the funding to do the full and final edit of the film and complete the process. In order to do that, we are hoping to raise the money through these three dinners, to hire an editor to with him to that end.
